THE FOOTBALL STORY · RIVERSIDE UNITED
Riverside United has lost three games in a row. But in the locker room, something else is causing conflict: the pitch next to the stadium has broken lights and a damaged fence. Captain Maya wants to talk to the mayor. Leo wants to post an angry video right away. Amina first wants to listen to the young people who play there.
With Coach Sam, the team starts an action that goes far beyond the football pitch. It’s about solidarity, social media, travel, the world of work, the environment and technology — and again and again about finding the right words.
YOU LEARN WITH THE STORY
You read what happens, translate the story and speak the sentences yourself. This gives vocabulary and phrases a clear context that you revisit in the exercises.
This is how learning works →ENGLISH · M10 · BAVARIA
When selecting the vocabulary and phrases, we used the Bavarian LehrplanPLUS for English in M10 as a guide. The football season provides the framework for using language in everyday situations, in social life and in the world of work.
Vokabero is an additional learning aid. It does not replace the official teaching materials and books, nor the lessons or assignments set by the teacher. The basis remains the materials provided by the school.
MORE THAN JUST LOOKING AT WORDS
Vocabulary, reading comprehension and grammar belong together. You practice them around the same content.
You first deal with the meaning and then try out how the sentences sound yourself.
Stories, reviews and your learning progress help you find your way to the next exercise.
A PROCESS THAT GUIDES YOU
Read an English story and discover words in full sentences. This also helps you practice how they are used together.
Write the story in German. Compare the feedback with your text and go through unclear parts again.
After translating, repeat the individual sentences. British and American pronunciation are taken into account.
Deepen vocabulary and grammar, check your understanding, and revisit content in your reviews.
